This letter, from Jessica Zhang, shows our recent invitation for our upcoming fundraiser. COOKING FOR CARE FOOD FOUNDATION INFORMATION
Description: Cooking for Care is a non-profit organization that gives the unprivileged food for free when they need it. Also, our organization will give cooking lessons to people who can not afford or who do not know how to cook their own food. In addition, we will fund scholarships to people who want to persue a career in cooking. (Carly) Goal: Our goal is to make sure nobody goes hungry, and that when people are able to afford to buy their own food, they now know how to make simple meals for themselves. (Carly) Target Audience: Our audience is targeted for anyone who does not have food or can not cook. These people can be anywhere from an infant to a senor citizen, to businessmen to the military, and a lot more. (Carly and Jessica and Devanshi) Future Projects: Our Future projects we will be concerning with is opening up a restaurant called Cooking for Care with cheap prices and gourmet meals with some of our finest recipes anyone will enjoy. (Devanshi) Background History Cooking for Care was founded in 2008 by three eight graders at Bedminster Township Public School students. With their passion for cooking, helping, and teaching, they managed to successfully start up Cooking for Care. The organization is still running strong with the help of a few full time volunteers and many part time volunteers, we created a society of love in every bite. (Jessica and Devanshi) Success Stories One day poor boy with no food named “Steve” came to our kitchen and he was poor and had no food. This boy seemed so hopeless and thought his life would never turn around. We gave him hope, food, and love and after a few cooking lessons, this boy became an expert. Currently, he is on “Top Chef” and is in the top ten contestants and if he wins he is planning on donating half of his prize money to the foundation that taught him to cook, Cooking for Care. We thank all the people who have contributed to our non-profit organization. Without others help, we would have made much left profit. If this did occur, we couldn’t have enough money raised for a pay what you can eat restaurant, without this, people would be starving and we would want out community to the fullest!
Please visit out site cookingforcare.org and contribute on your half to join us and help! Together we can stop world hunger just one step at a time. If the success continues, we will make even a bigger profit to create a better society. Please contribute, you would never regret it. Who knew three middle school students could make such a big change!
